A full, periodic Inspection

When you are getting your new home constructed, your inspector should be there during every phase to confirm that things are being built and installed the way you expect. 

Per your request, I can either perform a normal inspection of the property after construction or I can provide continuous inspection of the home during the course of construction, providing reports throughout. With every report, I provide the following: 

– Full color pictures and walkthrough videos

– Inspections of visible systems of the home including roof, foundation, HVAC systems, electrical, and any visible interior or exterior components.

– Drone photography

– If continuous inspection: periodic visits and inspections to the site, with reports for each visit

Why Inspect my newly-built home?

Even new homes can have potential issues that you may want to be informed of and resolve before move-in. An inspection of the property, especially periodic inspections, confirm that everything was done the way you expected and that proper construction practices were observed.

While I am not a code inspector, and have no authority as a code inspector, I can still note areas that may not be constructed “per modern standard” that may need to be addressed, either by local authorities or your design engineer. I am not an enforcer, merely an observer that reports back to you about what I observed.

Periodic inspections allow us to observe the construction of your home during the process, catching issues before they may be covered by soil, drywall, or other finish materials. 

Soil and Concrete Inspection Experience

I am an ACI concrete field and strength tester, as well as an ICC and NICET certified soils inspector. I have over 5 years of construction materials testing experience and can ensure that proper practices are being used regarding concrete pouring and finishing operations as well as soil compaction and backfill.

If there are any services such as backfilling observations, reinforcement checks, and concrete testing and observations, I can provide these as well.
